After graduating from Central Washington University with a degree in Construction Management and Business, Andy began working as a construction Project Engineer. Common issues that repeatedly surfaced on jobs, was the lack of review status visibility and delayed permits. In 2006, Andy established Paroline & Associates to strategize and streamline the permitting process for clients. Nearly 20 years later, Paroline has managed thousands of permits across the Pacific Northwest. Along the way, Andy has served as an owner’s rep/construction manager for several multimillion dollar mixed use projects for clients and his personal portfolio.
In 2006, Cameron Hemmen was the first associate Andy Paroline hired to work with him at Paroline and Associates. In his role as Project Manager, Cameron worked to streamline and perfect the Paroline permit management processes while also managing multiple permit applications. He then spent ten years working as a Site and Contract Manager where he completed more than 100 projects, managed contracts, and supervised a team of up to twenty employees. Cameron returned to his role as Project Manager at Paroline in 2021. His experience in this role makes him an excellent choice for Paroline’s more complex projects that require multiple permits and project timelines. He also supports Paroline project managers when complicated issues arise and provides training for new hires.
Spending time outdoors on landscaping projects is one of the ways Cameron recharges and finds his zen. Avid food and wine enthusiasts, he and his wife love to enjoy Italian food at Montalcino in Issaquah and they have memberships with several local wineries. Otis Kenyon and Elentone are personal favorites. Cameron recently discovered that throwing axes at one of Seattle’s local venues is a great way to spend an evening with friends - like Andy Paroline. Andy and Cameron have been close since they were young, they grew up together in Issaquah. Passionate about local sports, Cameron supports several teams - from long-standing favorites like the Seahawks, Mariners, and UW Huskies, to newcomers like the Kraken, while still finding time to cheer for his alma mater - the CWU Wildcats.
April House has successfully managed the permitting process for clients for more than twenty years. She began working with Paroline in 2016 and has since become an expert at working with jurisdictions to manage permits for a wide variety of commercial and residential projects. She carefully manages priorities for clients so that issues are resolved quickly and with ease, while always ensuring that project budgets and deadlines are met. Due to her considerable experience and success as a Project Manager, April is comfortable managing a wide variety of projects for clients - from large building complexes to single family homes.
April supports her community by fundraising for her local food bank, something she has done for many years. She also raises a beautiful garden every summer and loves to turn her homegrown ingredients into delicious meals to share with friends and family. The Seattle Storm, our local women’s professional basketball team is a favorite of April’s and she also enjoys watching the Seahawks battle for a place in the Super Bowl. Historical fiction and suspense novels help her unwind when she has a break from her busy schedule. April and Andy Paroline’s interest in fiction actually led to April working at Paroline, as they initially forged a friendship over a discussion of favorite novels while waiting in line to resolve permitting issues.
After working for Kittitas County for more than decade, Rachael Stevie moved around to the ‘other side of the counter’ and accepted a Project Management position with Paroline & Associates. She has personal connections in many jurisdictions that enable her to work through any issues that arise quickly and efficiently. Her organizational skills, attention to detail, and concise and accurate communications allow her to streamline the permit process for clients. Rachael is always focused on receiving permit approvals as quickly as possible so that clients can launch projects on schedule and meet their budgets and deadlines.
Rachael and her family live on acreage and they maintain a thriving ‘hobby farm’ with a few cattle, lambs, chickens, a rooster, and several resident farm cats. Fresh eggs are a frequent ingredient in Rachael’s cooking. The time she spends preparing meals for her family is one of her favorite parts of the day and she loves to experiment with new dishes and ingredients. Avid supporters of their childrens’ interest in wrestling, the Stevies frequently travel to wrestling tournaments around Washington state. They also love to explore the outdoors together and can frequently be found camping in their trailer during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.
After working in office management and as a bookkeeper for more than ten years, Kristine Devereaux was a perfect fit for the dual position of Office Manager and Administrative Assistant with Paroline & Associates. She has been assisting Paroline Project Managers and the Accounting department with administrative tasks for more than a year now. Over this time, Kristine demonstrated keen attention to detail and accuracy, an ability to quickly learn new processes and procedures, and excellent communication skills - both within Paroline and with clients. She recently began taking on Project Management duties and has handled these new responsibilities skillfully and with great success.
Kristine and her family are outdoor enthusiasts who are always ready for an adventure. After living on the island of Maui for ten years, Kristine and her husband moved their family to the mainland, bought an RV, and lived on the road for five years. She homeschooled her children while they traveled, and her family feels so fortunate that they were able to take this incredible journey together. Currently, Kristine and her family live just a few steps from a lake where they love to unwind by swimming, stand up paddleboarding, and kayaking. Paddleboarding is a new hobby for Kristine, but you’d never know it from her prowess on the water. Now that they’ve settled in Washington state, Mount Baker is a favorite RV camping destination for Kristine’s family, as are local national parks and forests.
